The namesake, Thomas Chippendale, was a well-known cabinet-maker who favoured mahogany wood for its flexibility, as compared to other brittle, softer pines. With over 20 years of experience, our founders at Antique Mahogany began designing and replicating high-quality furniture from the Chippendale era and eras spanning over the last several centuries, taking inspiration in their graceful, curved outlines, classical proportions and restrained surface ornamentations.

All our furniture is made out of plantation wood, meaning it has been kiln (oven) dried to protect the wood against splits and cracks, unlike most sun-dried Mahogany furniture on the market.
